The following biography is from the archives of Wikipedia.
Hunaeus was the son of a businessman who, since then, moved to Randers , Lieutenant, later Captain Hunan, and was deaf, even from birth, but at least from his 2nd year. He became a student of the Royal Deafesthetic Institute in 1823 and was there for his confirmation in 1830. There he had learned the tailor-made craft, but when he showed a drawing drawing, the father set him in painting, after which he began to visit the 1831 Academy of Fine Arts. He quickly became a student of the Model School but won the smaller silver medal first in 1841. However, he had embarked upon the portrait painting, began to exhibit in 1833 and quickly became a fair-looking portrait painter, so that even in 1857 he was agreedat the Academy, but as its statutes changed at the same time, he was never elected as a member. He painted several of today's considered people and, in his last year of life, even a portrait of Princess Dagmar to His Majesty King. However, as a story and genre he has virtually no significance, and only a picture of the Copenhagen life, violence, big bedday evening , raised some attention.
